What do I install on my computer?

Install the Tactic Remote companion for your computer and set up an Agent such as Claude Code or Codex there. Then connect from your iPhone or iPad.

Does my computer need to stay on?

Yes. Your Agents and projects run on your computer. Keep it awake, connected to the network, and running the Tactic Remote companion while you use it remotely.

Is my Tactic account the same as my Codex or Claude account?

No. Your Tactic account is for computer binding and remote connections. Claude Code, Codex, and other Agents use the accounts configured on your host computer. Their providers bill for those services separately.

Can I connect from a different network?

Yes. With the Windows 1.10 companion, bind your PC to your Tactic account and enable Tactic Relay, then connect from your phone. On the same local network, you can also use a direct local connection.

For Relay connections, terminal and file-transfer content is encrypted and decrypted at the endpoints. The relay forwards encrypted data.
